Laptop Issue

My Friend, wants a new laptop very badly, and likes macs but can only affourd a (shudder) thinkpad... My advise to him was to just save him money or try to get a mac mini. THoughts and suggestions?

He could possibly get a very good deal on a refurb. . . Or he can look on ebay for a mint condition used one.

He does want a LAPTOP...
although if I were him, a Mini would be nice.
he's crazy, but still, we're talking laptops here.

What do you mean he can only afford a thinkpad? Thinkpads are high end, they're more expensive then the cheaper Macs...
