My G4 Laptop keyboard all of a sudden stopped typing. If I use a letter key the only thing that comes out is an occasional number. What should I do?

At the risk of suggesting the obvious ... is your numlock key on?

Thanks so much for your help. No, the numlock was not on. I turned my computer off a second time and this time when I restarted, I was able to type. Not sure what happened!

That happened on my last MBP I had. Its a "common" problem according to Apple Support. It's a special RAM that needs to be resetted. Dont remember the name of the RAM, something like SR-Ram or something like that. Call Applesupport if it happens again, they will help you resett it (Something like restart and hold down a key) and its done. Ez, but shortly after that it ****ed up the keyboard even more for me so I sent it back and waited for the new Penryn which Ive had sice it got released and I LOVE it.
