What's the difference? Does anyone (Except Apple) care?
I've used them pretty much interchangeably.:apple:
 
Nope, nobody cares. It's just one of those things that people fall back on when they're losing an argument, or have nothing to say. "Well technically it's a notebook...Apple stopped making laptops in blah blah blah..."
 
It's just marketing. I think they stopped calling them laptops so that it wasn't implied that you should hold it on your lap. Because if you keep it on your lap and burn your junk, you might sue.
