Calling all laptop users and lazy desktop users! What bodily position do you do your best computing with? For me, assuming my TiBook isn't on it's stand, I work best sprawled in my office chair with my feet resting on the Quadra 950 and the TiBook on my thighs. What about you guys (and girls)?

Lying down on my bed.

Late at night I often use it on my chest if I am watching TV/movie.

I use it mainly on a little table in front of my sofa. Sometimes with a wireless keyboard, sometimes not. If I'm in bed or laying down then I will rest it on my legs propped up.

You know, I worded the title of this thread very carefully to make it not sound.... wrong.

I had originally typed "What position do you work best in?" but I'm glad I caught it.

Now that's a bit personal. :p

Seriously though it depends, sometimes I sit up in bed or on the couch with it on my lap, or hooked up to a monitor and keyboard while at my desk. As school, I use it on whatever surface happens to be close enough to reach. :p

For some reason, I can't stand using a laptop with an external monitor. Now I have a 17" Sceptre LCD sitting on my desk all lonely... but anyway, back on topic!

I sit on my bed using my laptop mostly, and I frequently give myself Saturday Night Palsy...Which is kind of pathetic, because it is caused by a laptop and not a woman.

I use three:

1- At home when doing nothing I have her on a podium in a big desk, with speakers attached and controlled with the new wireless keyboard and mouse. This is the one I use when doing school work or regular use. (Im typing this post on this one)

2- At home in my bed (is either on a pillow or in my lap), when Im playing PS3 or watching TV.

3- At school I have her on the desk or in my lap if no desk is available.

I really could be OK with a desktop, but I do use my MacBook for school so desktops would be of no use.

I tend to sit indian style and have my lappy in my well lap. I will also lay on my side though and have the laptop pretty close to my face...The only thing is it is really hard to type that way.

I try to use it at a table whenever possible. One reason is to reduce the likelihood of it falling, and the other reason is because my PowerBook gets really hot, and I don't want anything down there to get burned :D

I'm usually on my mini, since my iBook is so slow, so I really only use it in bed with my knees propped up so I can see the screen and type.

If I'm using it during the day, it's always on my lap.

I've found that it's really hard to use notebooks like the clamshell in that position.

Your mini has snobbified you. :D What OS are you running on it, anyway?
