iPod Large compilation problem

itunes recognises that all my compilation tracks are from the same album but the track numbering is missing. There are over 200 tracks so I can't change them manually. Is there anyway of doing this automatically?
I've selected the 'part of a compilation' box.

The reason why this is such a pain is that on cover view there are over 200 images of the same cover.

I solve this by giving all of the tracks the same album artist. They still show the track artist and group together when under album.

Don't know how to solve the other problem though. Sorry.
