Large screen Android tablets (12" or bigger)

I'd like to mount a large screen (12" or bigger) tablet on a treadmill to use for streaming video content.

To save costs I don't want to use an iPad Pro.

I know I can get large screen Windows tablets very cheaply but they have one significant downside for me. The issue is there is no Amazon Video app for Windows, so to access Prime Video I'd need to sign into Amazon on the web, something I don't want to do on this device as it will be open to several people to use.

So I'm wondering what the options are for Android tablets. I'm aware of Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 but I can't think of any others.

Any suggestions for anything other the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2?
For this use case something lower quality than a Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 would suffice.

Isn't 12" kind of small for the purpose? Have you considered a $100-150 24" TV with either built-in Amazon app or add an inexpensive Amazon Fire TV stick?

When I said I'm looking to mount a tablet on a treadmill what I really meant was I'm looking to get a tablet to permanently leave in the pre-existing tablet shelf/holder on the treadmill. Mounting a TV on the treadmill would require coming up with some kind of attachment solution. The treadmill is directly in front of and facing a window so mounting a larger TV on a wall is not really an option either.

Whilst bigger is certainly better we feel a 12" screen would suffice.

Thanks. Unfortunately this would be more than I'm willing to pay (in the UK, would be around £450-£550 used, or £900 new). I'm trying to limit myself to £300.

A Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 would be around £250-£300 used.
I could get a 13.5" Windows tablet for around £250 new (Chuwi Hi13)

One thing I didn't consider when I wrote the OP was running Android emulator on Windows for access to streaming apps not available on Windows. Has anyone had positive experiences with these? If so, which one would you recommend?

I use Bluestacks on windows for watching Mobdro but i havens played any games with it..

Have now tried Bluestacks on my 2016 i5 Windows PC. Is not running well (have experienced multiple hangs and some crashes) so I don't think it would be worth the hassle trying to use it on a lower-spec tablet. Thanks for the suggestion though.

That's no good, sorry.
I have an i5 build too but I only use mobdro and haven't experienced either.

Re the windows tablet, why don't you just have each person create their own account? That way your browser and browser passwords remain only with your password protected account.

I want everyone to have access to my Prime Video account.
Only way to do this on Windows is to sign in to full Amazon on the web
 
Didn't Samsung stopped the 12" iPads? I don't think there is any current model.

I have 10" but want bigger.

I want to watch TV series and read PDFs (mainly magazines).

Samsungs 12" is too old (hence maybe slow). iOS I don't want. Will not consider no-names. I am thinking of a 13 or 14" 360° notebook. If money doesn't matter the Microsoft Surface Pro line is nice. But I may go for something cheaper and not detachable keyboard, Acer, Asus etc.

I will do some speed tests with large image PDFs (poor scans) and H.265 movies.
 
I haven’t been able to find any current large screen Android tablets. Those I have found - including the Samsung tablets - were released a few years ago on Android 4.4 or 5.1. So would need to buy old stock or used.

* Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2
* Samsung Galaxy View
* Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Pro
* Hannspree HannsPad Titan 2

If It wasn’t for the specific use case mentioned in my opening post, I’d get a Windows tablet (several current options to choose from) or an iPad Pro 12.9

Yes. But signing into the Amazon Video app only provides access to the Amazon Video service, which is what I want.
It doesn't give access to the entire Amazon account, which is what happens if you sign in on the web.

Do you even run?

You have to factor in arm swing to have sufficient separation so that means arms fully stretched out as a gauge and at that distance a 12" screen is tiny. Also, a remote control is easier to operate without having to stop running vs touching the screen. And, cost wise a small TV with either built in Amazon app or with Fire TV stick is much less costly than equivalently sized tablets if they even exist. Since OP doesn't have a wall to mount onto he'll have to look into a treadmill mount or stand.

"Chuwi" has a few with Android 5.1 + Win 10. But I didn't see anything with any modern Android 6 or better. Seems generally the pads are on the downtrend.
