Here you go, not sure the flare is the same size as the one in the video, but here is a to scale version of a flare in comparasion to earth.........wow

No kidding - that's a great example of just how big those flares are. Damn, I wish I could afford that H-A filter!

I dont think any telescope will show view of the Sun quite like the SOHO Spacecraft though.

I was looking at some of those with envy, and desire. I covet them now and will be obsesed till someone here gets me one!

Well no one has ponied up a pst for me yet, but here is some new info on solar flare predictions.

I'm hoping you guys are secretly pm'ing each other, getting money together to buy me one for my anniversary! And I really do appreciate it!
