That patent needs to invalidated by USPTO since it's just an idea stolen from seeing a working Samsung product demonstration.

Curved/wraparound displays are a gimmick and have no place in an Apple product.
Until they Release it. . And you love.it.. is that how it usually goes... lol

I like the idea of a side display if it can offer something other than notifications. Could see it being handy if it was touch activated.
It on rhe S6 edge, just rub your finger along it, and. Notifications etc are displayed. ..

Not at all. The edge displays are a cool concept but it only takes watching 1 video to realize the distortions exist and that effectively means you're missing out on the top and bottom 5% of the video.
Rubbish, there is zero distortion for images or text.

Funny, just got back from Best Buy and I checked out the S7 and S7 Edge. The Edge's screen is terrible. I can't see why so many people like it. The "edge" of the screen casts a blue glow and warps your content.

WHAT!?

I don't care what DisplayMate says, that is not the best display on a smartphone. Just say no, Apple.
You are so right my friend, who cares what Independant display specialists say eh.. sod them..it's your opinion that counts right. .

I value my real world opinion over a test any day. When a screen warps, that can't be a good thing, can it? Blue lines on the sides of the screen are there for artistic purposes, I'm sure.....

People buy 240hz LCD TVS that have horrible soap opera effect and think their TV looks amazing. I prefer my ISF calibrated plasma, yet they were obsoleted by inferior tech and misinformed consumers.
