Larger HDD to smaller SSD

Is it possible to clone a hard drive that is 320gb onto a 240gb SSD as long as there is less than 240gb of space used on the larger drive? I was thinking of using CCC to switch drives but I just want to make sure that there wont be any problems.

Of course. It won't clone the empty space 😉 Remember not to fill the SSD too much or its performance won't be as good
