Smack2k macrumors member Original poster Sep 15, 2019 #1 For the Mac G4 Sawtooth and G4 Quicksilver (dual 800) the largest drives they will take is 128 GB correct? Are my only options for larger HDDs on the machines SATA Controllers? Are there any PCI IDE Controllers that would work for this?

eyoungren macrumors Nehalem Sep 15, 2019 #2 Read my reply in your other thread. They will take drives larger than 128GB, but they will only recognize 128GB unless you use the Speedtools ATA HiCap Driver: http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/speedtools-ata-hi-cap-driver

I have an ACARD 6280M - that adds 2 ATA133 ports and I believe breaches the 128GB limit. Reactions: Project Alice and Raging Dufus
