laser calibration dvd

Ok when trying to burn movie to dvd get error message laser calibration failed. or some sort like that, did hardware test and get the following message alert apple hardware test - 4sns/1/ 40000000 taop-44.624. mid 2007 model 21' imac. how convenient that this happens after my extended warranty is up, same thing happened in my old mini right after extended warranty expired the optical drive failed. so does any1 know what the error message means, Thanks for reading

There is no such thing. Calibration is done to the firmware at the factory.

Replace the drive.
