Laser Etching Idea for BlackBook

I was just struck with an idea for a laser etching on a black MacBook, record grooves. I'd like them to start in the center of the lid around the apple and have them go out to the edges. How practical do you think that would be and how well do you think it would work / look?

It is pretty simple to do, but if you are paying for engraving why not some, more dynamic, design?
