Wow, $850 for an ultimate 11" too.

How is Mac Mall's return policy? I looked it up on their website and it looks like I'd have to pay to ship it back, but it doesn't mention blowout deals. Is there any reason I wouldn't be able to return this?

The reason I'm asking is that my roommate spilled water on my macbook two days ago and I'm letting it dry out in a bag of rice before turning it on. When the water hit it the screen turned off, so I'm assuming that it's probably toast. If it doesn't work, I need a new computer for grad school by the end of the week. This deal ends tonight, but I can't turn my computer on to see if it works until tomorrow night. Do any of you foresee any problems if I order this and end up returning it in the slim chance that my current macbook still works?

How much faster does the i5 open a Safari browser or run 1080p YouTube? Because that is what most computer users use their laptops for. Any real power users would get an iMac, MBP, or even a Mac Pro.

True, but at 256GB you're looking at $300 in savings alone

Just bought this deal from Macmall a couple days ago... Love the air! It is a good deal imho, that's why I bought it!

I do have to say dealing with Macmall was one of the most frustrating experiences of my life... That is if you have a different billing address from shipping address. But that's over and it's worth it!

And it comes with a 100 gift card if you call in your order... and they sold me apple care for 190$ instead of the normal 250.

I am so close to pulling the trigger on one of these 2010 13" MBA's... For my needs, it would be just fine. Microcenter has the 2GB/256GB for 899. So with tax, it would be ~$950. It's just for my couch needs (surfing, journaling, light MS Office usage, and learning XCode). What to do, what to do....

For me, I'm certain that I want an MBA over an iPad. I do want a full OS for my full applications.

I also have a line on an open box 13" MBA 1.8, 2/128 for ~830 with no tax. That is also very tempting. I just think for Lion and beyond, 2GB is probably not a great idea.... But then again, this is not my primary machine, so would 2GB be OK?

very tempting but I just can't bring myself to buy a core 2 duo, when i5 and i7 is so much faster.

Is it? what do you do with your laptop that requires so much?

i have a 2010 13 ultimate that blazes thru everything i throw at it - mind you, i don't do any graphics intensive tasks, but for business needs, wow, i see no reason to spend more for the iX series.

I got an 11" Air, it's being delivered today. Thanks a lot to Kendo for the original post and also to dlimes13 for the Apple Insider tip. I just checked and the price of the same model went up by $300 since yesterday, and a refurb of the same model from Apple is $200 higher than what I paid.

I might still send it back if my Macbook Pro miraculously works, but if not this seems like an awesome replacement.

I just placed my order for the 11" Ultimate after having used my 13" Ultimate 2010 when it was first released. $872 overnighted to me. Great stuff.

Anyone want an excellent condition 13" Ultimate? :D
