Yup, I really dig Q3a! If I might be allowed to brag a bit I was ranked #4 world-wide in the 4th year of the game. Currently I'm #22 which is down a lot considering maybe only one tenth the number of people are still playing it (still a lot BTW). I like it better than Quake4 tho! Most of that video is a free Mod called "Defrag" which is a skillz improvement environment for the good wanting to get better. It's a blast!

Yeah, it's REALLY buggy on my system. I uninstalled rather quickly after reading all the info to make sure it wasn't user error.

how odd!! you are using your MP? were you doing anything else?? even my million year old MBP can play it flawlessly, could of been the AVI file..

You mean Q3a? Quake4 is actually pretty demanding. My 2.66 octad with 7300GT has a hard time. Even with the multi-core switch turned on in the game. Of course, it's an ID game so you can scale it to almost any spec if you read up on how to.

Yeah, I gave it a good fighting chance. Tried the AVI's and MP4's in multiple players, made sure nothing else was running but the usual BG junk I have, etc. etc. <shrug>

musnt like something in your system. i tried searching for a solution but couldnt find anything. do you think your 7300 might be hindering it?? that doesnt really make sense though... it mightnt like your custom upgrade on the CPU
