Apple adding MagSafe seems logical since that would result in a lot of extra peripheral revenue for Apple, even if only a small number of SE buyers use it.

I can't wait to get rid of my 13 Pro for the SE. Being able to unlock my phone again while out and about (and masked) is a game changer, as is the smaller size. Until the SE news came out I was going to eat the cost of switching from the 13 Pro to the 13 Mini (had a 12 Mini prior and it was almost perfect) for size alone. I know the "Face ID with a mask" update is coming soon but I have little faith it will work well as I wear a variety of different masks and I enjoy wearing sunglasses. Besides, I have both my Apple Watches enrolled in the "auto-unlock" and neither work reliably to unlock my phone (or Macs) so I imagine it's more of the same. But you know what... TouchID does work well and always has.

I used an old iPhone 8 for a couple of months after getting the 13 Pro and vastly preferred it. The 13 Pro is the first Apple upgrade I regretted as my 12 Mini was better in almost every respect (except cameras, which is what drove me to the 13 Pro). It's so annoying to unlock that I have actually started using my Pixel 6 backup phone with it's horribly broken fingerprint sensor more than the 13 Pro. I always keep a Pixel for call screening/phone calls since that feature was released - normally don't use it for anything else, but the 13 Pro actually has me using it despite an inferior experience in every other way, which is a feat.
