I've been working on this for months and have yet to resolve the issue. My iCloud works 99.9% correctly with the exception of one contact. This person is a family member so I don't need their last name. I'll delete it and I can verify the update on iCloud, my Contacts in my Mac in the Contacts app from Apple, and on my iPhone. A few days later, the last name will reappear without any edits to the contact. All other family members don't get the last name slapped back on.
What could this possibly be? (I've even backed up my contacts, wiped my cloud of any data, and re-uploaded the contacts list). Would the ultimate solution be wiping my contacts and uploading them without that family member and then making a new contact? I don't understand how this bug is possible without me being there. Is it possible yet for other users to control their contact card on other people's phones? 😕
