What was the last thing stolen from you?
Mine was a $20 bill (indirectly) today-----
I keep a lot of foreign currency in my wallet because a lot of people ask me to loan them money but they never pay me back so now I just show people some Euros and Singaporean Dollars---but I do keep some US currency in the back for when I need to legitimately pay for things.
The Lacrosse team is raising money for children to go to school in Ethiopia--- pay for books, clothes, teachers, food, etc. They're putting the money in these buckets at lunch and before and after school. My friend on the lacrosse team sees me, and I have the erroneous reputation of being wealthier than the Queen at my school, and he asks me for money for the Africa thing. The lowest bill I had in USD currency was a $20, and I asked him if he could break it because that's a lot of money still. He and his other friends rendered me into a guilt trip and I put the $20 into the bucket and they say that I'm a good person, etc. I hung around them for another few minutes and then left. Then, as I was heading to my fifth period class, I happened to bump into him in the hallway and he tells me that my bill was stolen from the bucket. It could have been him because he cracked a joke about how he was going to spend it, but I believe that he's a good person and wouldn't steal money from starving African children (directly) or me (indirectly). Maybe I have more trust in people than I should.
I just needed to vent. Let's hear your stories.
