I haven't seen a push from AP since MJ. Anyone else in the same boat?

I got one yesterday, when the plane crashed in Iran.

I've been getting them regularly, but there's another thread from yesterday where some others were saying the same as you. Weird.

My last one was about the budget deficit two days ago. Interestingly enough, no push on the Indonesia hotel bombings.

Cromkite came to me today.. I have had a few about Michael Jackson... one telling me his net worth.. which was absolutely worthless. I need a GOOD news app that won't report crap..

Same, got the one about Walter.

Happened to be on computer when I got it and checked cnn. was 3 minutes after story was updated there, but this app seldom ever updates and that's only reason I installed it.

i assume the AP app in the UK is different to the US version? as the UK version does not have push capabilities.

I have been using AP since 1.0 and it is on the verge of deletion (with 1 star ranking). While "breaking news" push notification does make the app stand out, it is all too easy to accidentally dismiss the notification. Worse, launching the app does not highlight (and frequently does not even feature) pushed article and like others have said, it frequently takes a minute, even over speedy WiFi connection, to update the feed.

I turned the AP pushes off after 2 days. Woke me up the first day and then I just decided that I don't need to be alerted immediately that something happened in Iran. Now if you could configure the alerts for my zip code, that would be interesting.
