I pulled out the old Late 2007 Macbook and will be maxing out the ram and want to put a ssd in it. What ssd specs should I look for? Thank you.

Any of the ones you can buy these days will max out the internal bus on a 2007, so it doesn't matter. Get the cheapest of whatever capacity you want as the more expensive/faster drives will not have any effect.

I'm curious. What are you using it for? Cuz a 2007 is problematic in terms of browser and software support, due to the fact that it supports only a max of OS X 10.7.5 Lion. I just decommissioned my early 2008 MacBook for this reason, despite the fact I already had SSD and 4 GB RAM in it.

Just for nostalgic purposes I suppose. Also, possibly to let my 2.5 year old play a game or watch a movie on...

Go with one of Other World Computing's drives, they're great. You'll get a decent price too since you don't need the top line 6G SATA III models nor are you chasing a huge capacity (I'm guessing.) That, and max out the RAM.

IMHO, there are far, far, far better options in SSD choices than OWC.
