    Hello boys,

I have 2008 5,1 Unibody Macbook Pro 2,93 Ghz and want to swap the factory default HDD with Samsung Pro 850 256 GB SSD. Would like to confirm that it will work just fine on Mavericks (hate Yosemite) from someone who used this drive.

I read there are many issues with this particular Macbook Pro and some SSD's, such as even though it has SATA II bus it will link only 1,5 Gbps because of some Nvidia controller in mac not compatible with Sandforce controller on somes SSD's, but because Samsung does not use Sandforce it should link as proper SATA II 3 Gbps.

If anyone has some experience it would be appreciated.
