My sister's Oct 2008 unibody macbook is beeping on startup. The screen stays black, the disk drive powers up indefinitely, and it begins to beep forever, not 3 beeps but just 3/4 sec beeps separated by 3-4 seconds of silence.
Is the logic board fried?
Its not under warranty so is it worth it to take it to the apple store?

Ps. I tried to reset the Pram but it didn't even register, it just started beeping
