    Hey,

Did some searching on this and couldn't come up with exactly what I was looking for.

I have a Late 2008 MBP (see signature) I recently upgraded my Home Theater and got a 40" sony EX620. The TV looks great and plays cable, ps3 games and blu-rays great.

My problem is that when ever I try to play back HD video from my MBP the video tends to skip or jump a few frames. This is especially noticeable on slow pans (noticed it while watching BBC Human Planet) and it seems to be in a pattern. For example it seems to jump frames every 2 seconds or so. I don't get any of this skipping while watching anything else (blu-ray, ps3, cable) Also with my old 32" Toshiba (720p) I didn't have this problem either.

Can the older MBP not handel the higher resolution of the new TV?

I should also mention that I'm running Snow Leopard and I'm also using the "higher performance" (7200GT) setting. The computer is plugged in via display port to HDMI.

    Thanks in advance.

I should also mention that this problem occurs both while watching through XBMC or VLC
