Is the new iPod Touch physically the same as last year's iPod Touch 2g (i.e. can I use an iPod Touch 2g case/skin on my late 2009 iPod touch) ?

If so, what skins do people recommend for the late 2009 iPod Touch.

My priorities are
1) something that gives me a better grip on the touch.
2) protects the touch (including the screen) from fingerprints.
3) Does not add noticeably to the size of the touch.

Yes, the dimensions are 100% the same. I've used skins from http://www.zagg.com. They're about $25, but come with a lifetime warranty (that you'll never use, but still have to pay $4 for shipping every time) and also skins from http://www.bestskinsever.com. I would definitely recommend the bestskins, they're cheaper and give you all the features you're looking for. Also, the skin I purchased from zagg was slightly tinted on the screen, so it was not as bright, however bestskins was perfectly clear.

It does improve the grip dramatically, it's hard to describe what it feels like though. I would say it feels like a little bit thicker, slightly textured saran wrap? I can put my iPod in my hand flat and tilt at 70 degree angle and it'll stay put.
