Late 2009 MacBook SSD Upgrade

I'm wondering if the Samsung Evo 850 SSD will work in a late 2009 "clamshell" MacBook 6,1

I looked at the 840 but noticed the 850 was available.

- Sure thing. Perhaps also look into the budget Crucial BX100. It's cheaper, and if you get at least the 250GB it should be adequate in terms of speed on a SATA II machine.

I am partial to Samsung, though, and will recommend their SSDs without reservation. But I would suggest you get the newest generation.
