Late 2011 iMac Ram work in retina iMac?

Title pretty much sums up the question. I have a late 2011 that I upgraded to 16g of ram. Want to know if I can pull that and put it in the retina iMac?

I just checked and no. But it's about $100 per 8G stick.

It will run, but at a slower speed. It's not ideal.

Went with some new sticks from Crucial, works great. Thanks for the response!
