would this fit and work on a late 2011 mbp 15 spec is 2.4 ghz i7 ?

Yes. Based on recent reports, it might even run at 2133MHz, though I'm still skeptical.

- Well, the 2133 will work. They might just downclock to 1600 since that's the maximum supported by the machine and the i7. But that thread I linked to says otherwise, so it's confusing.

good that it will fit and if thats the worst that it may down clock to 1600 its worth a try and that is still better than the 8gb 1333 that i have
