Hi all, thanks for reading this. I had been using two 1080p monitors with my late 2012 27" iMac for years with no issues, and I just upgraded to two 27" Acer V277U monitors. I got them both hooked up and working fine at first. While adjusting the arrangement settings for the displays, I accidentally changed the refresh rate on one of the monitors from 59.88Hz to 74.88Hz, and now that monitor is blank and doesn't detect a signal from the computer.

When I check "Mirror Displays," I can then change the refresh rate back to 59.88Hz, the monitors flicker for a moment, and then all the monitors are working fine in mirroring mode. When I uncheck mirroring, the monitors all flicker, and the monitor in question goes back to blank. When I repeat this process, the monitor has changed back to 74.88Hz refresh rate every time I switch from mirroring to non-mirroring and won't hold my change to 59.88Hz.

Is there any way to ignore a refresh rate or force it to hold a setting and not automatically switch back? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Is there any way to do a "factory reset" of the settings in the problem monitor...?

Thanks for the reply - I did try resetting the monitor, but to no avail.

I did however, download an app called Display Menu, and now it works fine. While a 3rd party workaround isn't ideal, it does the trick. I appreciate your help!
