    Hello,
I bought the new 27'' iMac 2 days ago. I had istat pro installed on my previous iMac and I tranferred everything on the new one. I have one question though concerning cpu temperatures. When I launch istat pro and look for a main cpu sensor all I can see is cpu core1, core 2, core 3, core 4. Isn't there a general cpu temperature sensor in the program so that I can monitor it?

Nope, Haswell iMac's and iStat Pro don't get along. Not sure if it is due to iStat Pro being a dead software program or there is something with Haswell chips.

Will have to fork over the $16 for iStat Menu's( which I do recommend). Even then though it is either proximity or backside, not actual CPU.

Another thing you can do is download Intel's Power Widget which will also give you temps, clock speed, and power draw.
