Late 2013' MBP; Sierra TO Mojave or Catalina? (Which OS to move up to?)

Hey guys!

Looking for advice for current MBP running Sierra. Has been not supported for a bit now - and High Sierra is reaching the end. What is going to be the best OS currently moving forward - that is compatible with my machine?

There are no longer security updates - and I do use Safari as my main web browser. I also do use Adobe Creative cloud, which some programs are no longer updating to latest versions. But they're still plenty usable for my experience.

Any advise/ or help would be appreciated

No reason to update to Catalina unless there's something on its feature list you care about. Mojave will continue to receive security updates for another year yet.

I am using the latest Big Sur beta on a mid-2014 13" Pro and it's been bug-free for me.

I would recommend Mojave, or possibly waiting for the release of Big Sur (provided you do not need 32-bit support), which will hopefully be a bit more refined than Catalina. Catalina isn't a bad OS by any means, but it does still have a few annoyances that I did not experience with Mojave, such as sporadic behavior with Messages (which seems to be worsened if you have multiple user accounts) and sometimes wonky UI behavior. The most recent update has aimed to fix a wifi issue that has impacted some users, although I've not been one of them.

Of course, you should never install a .0 from anyone, but especially not from Apple.

Since you don't have any compatibility issues. I'd just upgrade to Catalina and get it over with. I haven't noticed any performance differences between High Sierra and Catalina. Nor Big Sur even. So, I'd switch to that when it is out.
