After donating my 2019 Pro to my daughter for school I’m considering getting another Pro this year. My question is, will there be a new pro model announced/released any time soon?

iPad Pro Late to the game, new models?

I’d at least wait until fall, likely a new Pro model will be released as mentioned.
Im the same as you and Im waiting until fall. Seems to be enough upgrades to justify a new iPad this year. Its been 4 years since I bought my last iPad and almost pulled the trigger last year but decided to get a MacBook first and wait until the next pro release cycle. My biggest wish is more RAM or at least better use of the RAM. The constant web page refreshes are annoying even with just a few tabs open. Overall its my biggest complaint about iPad.
I'm thinking about jumping from my 7th gen base iPad to an 11" Pro, and I'm definitely waiting until fall to see what changes they come up with.

It doesn’t seem like he needs to upgrade immediately anyway. More like he just wants to upgrade to a nicer device and can afford to wait for the next gen.
He gave his iPad Pro away, so he needs a new one.
Ah. You were responding to the OP. I thought you were replying to @TechRunner who currently has a working 7th gen.
With that said, it doesn’t seem like the iPad’s absolutely critical to the OP, otherwise, he would’ve replaced it already. If it was me, I’d have gotten the replacement first before giving the iPad away.
Worse still is when it reloads tabs that contain half-watched videos. I’ve even had Safari reload a video tab I was watching 😳
Thanks for the replies all, the plan was originally to loan the iPad Pro to my daughter but she did so well with he digital imaging I couldn’t ask for it back lol. Below was her first completed image. So I couldn’t take it back lol
