Hi everyone,

I'm looking for an USB Bluetooth adapter with the latest chipset that is supported on 10.9+ without any additional drivers needed. Does anyone have particular recommendations?

Are these adapters able to connect an Apple keyboard and touch pad shortly after powering the Mac on as the built-in solutions do?

Background: My desk has some distance between it and my Mac mini which itself is housed in a steel-framed shelf that does a good job of blocking radio signals so the Bluetooth connections gets lost from time to time. To work around this I want to place an USB Bluetooth adapter at the end of an USB 2.0 extension cord that can be placed more signal-friendly on a wall with a clear line-of-sight to the input devices.

Thank you very much for the advice!

Regards,
JBB

well the GBU421 certainly works on my OSX, i figured the 521 would be good, it's listed as compatible on tonymacs compatible hardware list as well, but good thing you're not asleep at the wheel.
