I seem to remember Lynx working fairly well for simple HTML, lightweight CSS/JS, but this was around 2010. With how bloated web standards and sites have gotten lately (and with the whole idea of progressive web apps), it probably doesn’t work as well, anymore.

Still waiting for Apple to allow 3rd party browsers in iOS without using WebKit. Maybe that'll come with side loading so older devices can get the latest browsers instead of being abandoned by Apple safari updates. 🙄

I'm just curious honestly. Do you really think Safari is any better security-wise?

duckduckgo has a new browser that is fast, secure and runs smoothly, with bookmarks and passwords easily and safely imported from safari.
i’m really enjoying it as a genuine contender alternative.
pretty sure it’s good for iOS also
