This reminds me of a short time where if I had music playing on my Xs, and I brought it near an OG Homepod, the music would transfer...and then it stopped working and has not since.
That feature was touted later that fall on the "new" iPhone.

Well it's a beta anyway and it isn't like it actually added the functionality.

Hopefully they'll look at adding it now as a feature to 1st gen airpods pro and airpods max like they did with the non M1 ipads and stage manager
