I walked into the office after the upgrade and wow. What screensaver is this? I thought. Awesome wallpaper. I switched all my Macs to Sequoia Sunrise on all my Macs.

There's also new Apple Park virtual backgrounds under the webcam menu when the camera is active.

The macOS Sequoia 15 and 15.1 betas that Apple provided to developers today officially introduce new macOS Sequoia wallpapers that first popped up last week.

The wallpapers feature the sequoia trees that macOS Sequoia is named for. The imagery likely comes from Sequoia National Park, located in the southern Sierra Nevada mountains of California. There are three separate versions of the wallpaper for different times of day: Sequoia Sunrise, Sequoia Morning, and Sequoia Night.

Each wallpaper is animated and will shift slightly at the Lock Screen when you unlock your Mac, plus there is an option to set it as a screen saver.

You will need the latest macOS Sequoia betas to see the official wallpapers, but downloadable versions are available on other machines. The Sequoia wallpapers will be available to all macOS Sequoia users when the operating system is released this fall.

Since in live in Swiss Alps, the only place that I would visit in USA one day would be the Sequoia National Park. I'm not interested in deserts or ocean. Trees. I love trees 🌲

So, from now on we will have two OSs: one with AI integrated and other one without it? Gosh! Do this make any sense to you?🤔
Yes, it makes sense. You wouldn't update to a 15.0 beta from a 15.1 beta just as you wouldn't expect to update from 14.6.1 to 13.6.9 simply because it came out at a later date or has some part of the version number larger than the newer OS.

You are correct that the main difference with 15.1 is it has the AI integrated and 15.0 beta does not. You want to be on 15.0 betas if you have software you need to update or have feedback/bug reports for the initial 15.0 release.

If you want to test out and give feedback on the AI features you want to be on 15.1 beta.

Only as testers we would have two versions for now. For the public 15.1 will be released after 15.0. Once 15.0 is out, testers will still be testing 15.1 because new AI features takes more time to test and Apple just decided not to include them in 15.0 release but have it in the later 15.1 release

I don’t like the night scene. The moon shining through the trees is obviously a spotlight and not the real moon. They could have at least made it more realistic.
It's perfectly realistic. There's a Nazgûl just out of shot though.

So... nothing actually useful then ?
So many things are becoming bloated and harder to use
So many things push Apples "stores" vs local content (books, Music)
System prefs has become a nightmare, thank god it has a search box so you can find the stuff you need.
Mail STILL does not support exchanges "shared" mail folder , I am forced to use outlook at work and not mail because of this.

Nice! The one at night will be very fitting for a fall release most likely in the month of October :)
