Cheers for that my mind was totally blank.

That sounds awesome, but the download page is missing. Anywhere else to get it?

I've got it, I managed to find the zip on my software installer backup drive. The zip file was too big to upload in one so I have split it, one for the application and the other for the licenses.

You might need to change the preferences so that it points to the correct place. The correct link (well it worked for me) is http://nightly.webkit.org/builds/latest/mac

honestly I wasn't getting any beach-balling in safari so this doesn't really mean anything but I haven't had any beach balls in webkit.

Highway to hell

Actually, you can integrate the new WebKit into your existing Safari... Open up the downloaded WebKit.app, go to the Frameworks folder, and copy all those. Go into /System/Library/Frameworks, back up JavaScriptCore.framework and WebKit.framework, and paste the contents of the WebKit.app's Frameworks folder into your system frameworks folder. Worked like a charm.

Good luck with all that. Remember to say your prayers each and every time from here forward when you run the Software Update. Then when it hits you, just please don't whine here how Leopard sucks, how Tiger was better, and how Apple can't code nowadays, because it was you who broke your Safari.

Having switched back to webkit nightly ever since this tory came out (I forgot about webkit for about 3 months).

It is noticably less stable than Safari however this is expected due to it being a nightly release compared to a full release. But I am very impressed by the speed increases and increased memory handling that I am seeing.

For some reason im experiencing quite a few crashes on webkit. I dont remember on which sites exactly but it was very very annoying, have since went to FF3 beta again. I go back and forth. But FF3 beta is surprisingly stable for beta, isnt safari 3 still beta too?

There is a whole world of difference between a beta and a nightly build.

Don't worry, you won't see any whining from me. ;)
And Apple's coding has improved; I still remember what terrors were unleashed upon my eMac with the release of 10.2.6.

Thanks for the link to the Webkit Bugzilla. I reported problems directly to Apple so far. may be this wasn't the right way.

Poor java performance is the only reason i've had long stints using FF or Camino, some sites in particular used to be painful until Safari 3. Looking forward to more speed boosts. :)

Java hey?

How many sites use java on the client side?

I think you mean Javascript ;)

There is a huge difference.
