Now that the App Store rules has been released to the public a couple of months ago, we now know that apps can internally interpret code (as seen by the Commodore 64 emulator).

That opens up the possibility of a LaTeX app for the iPad.

Is anyone working on one? Because that would be amazing, the ability to work with .tex and .dvi files on the iPad.
 
While I haven't used it, TeX Equation [iTunes link] has a built-in TeX engine and is well-reviewed. It's not (yet?) a full-blown environment for working on TeX/LaTeX documents, but it does look pretty cool.
