Hello. Quick question, if there is personal pickup on launch day for the Air, would it be worth it to wake up at 3AM to order it or do you think I'll be okay at 7AM. I'm looking for 32GB Space Grey with Cellular.

Just don't want to wake up earlier than I have to. ;)

Just go to sleep at around 3-4AM after you've already ordered the iPad and sleep in. Unless, of course, you have work or school or something. :p

There are no foolproof guarantees for getting something on launch day. Pre-orders, in store pick ups; they've all gone haywire for some people at one time. But to lessen the odds of not getting one, stay up til 3am.

Let me know the following and I can give you a decent guess:

1 - How many 32 Gb units will they have in stock?
2 - How many people want them?
3 - How many will be up at 3am to order them?
4 - How many want the same carrier as you?
5 - Which city are you in?
6 - Which store are you looking at?

Okay, ready now to help you - and the other 489 people that asked the same question in the past few days.

My plan: go to sleep as normal but set alarm for 2:55am. 3am or so login to the Apple store. Punch in the Air model I want. Request store p/u. Hit the one click purchase button. Go back to sleep at 3:04am. Wake up as usual at 6:30. P/U iPad sometime during the day.

I have to catch at flight at 6:30am so I'm staying up until midnight, ordering my iPad Air, sleep/nap for a few hours, go to the airport and when I land pick it up at the Apple Store 4 miles from SEATAC :D
