launching apps in mobilefinder

i've tried double tapping, triple tapping, etc etc on the .app on the finder
but i just can't seem to be able to launch a program through finder.
can anyone help?

p.s: i wanna put all my icons hidden and just have the finder on my springboard so that's why i want to know this incase anyone's wondering.

for me it works but there is a setting to launch apps in finders settings
