Does anyone know if it is possible to launch Excel 2011 from VM Fusion?

I recently switched to MAC from PC but need to run Outlook 2010 from W7 64Bit in Fusion for Add-In Support (XOBNI, BCM, Clear Context, Etc).

I could install the full MS Office suite into Fusion, but thought to maximize resources and efficiency I would only run Outlook in Unity mode.

However, I frequently get spreadsheets and word documents as attachments and would like to be able to double click and have them open in the Office 2011 suite.

Does anyone know if this is possible and how I would configure it.

Thanks

I don't know if this is possible in Fusion, but I know for a fact it is in Parallels... I imagine it would be possible, perhaps a setting in Fusion's preferences that changes the default App to open?

I don't use Fusion obviously, but if there are links in W7 that point to Apps on your Mac, you might be able to choose the default program in Control Panel to open spreadsheets from Excel 2011.
