I've noticed launchpad closes/minimizes itself sometimes – is this a known bug or could it be an issue with my trackpad clicking itself as launchpad closes when you click on any empty space around the app icons (no audible click, and no external devices connected)?

On M2 Pro 14", still within the exchange window and don't want to get stuck with a defective device.

Is this launchpad behavior or trackpad clicking itself a known issue at all? Hard to replicate either but it has happened more than once.

Just trying to determine if this is more likely to be software or hardware. Haven't seen any instances of self-clicking outside of launchpad

Also - tap to click is disabled so this is not the issue.

Any insight would be helpful. Anyone noticing glitchy behavior from launchpad? Is trackpad clicking on it's own a problem or possibility on the latest MacBook Pros?

Using my M1, I have occasionaly trouble with the text insertion point in both my editor and Mail.app. The problem is that it appears to move up a few lines while I'm typing. Very inconvenient, I'll spare you what happens next.
The trackpad on the M1 is much bigger or larger than on my previous Mac. My take is that while typing, part of my hands/fingers are slipping over the touchpad causing the t.i.p. to move along. But so far I've never been able to deliberately reproduce this. As a precaution I have turned off 'Tap to click' in the Trackpad settings. Hopefully providing some damage control.

There is the off-chance, it's an Apple bug wrt to the trackpad coding. It could be this actually started in macOS 13 Ventura. At the moment my earliest remembrance of this trackpad behaviour is november/december 2022. But that's my (shot) memory. Anyway, I could ask the same question as you did.

This is a bug on multiple devices. After unlocking the device – launchpad or Notification Center will close on its own seconds after being opened. Seems to happen if you open one right after unlocking.
