Launchpad Icon missing?

Hi guys
just been off the phone to a friend go mine, his launchpad icon is missing?
any ideas how he can get it back?

Hi,

Launchpad is an application.

Go to the Macintosh HD / Applications folder, and drag Launchpad to the Dock.
