Has anyone else experienced missing icons in Launchpad? Any idea how to fix this?

Specifically, only Apple apps' icons are missing for me.

This randomly happened to me as well. A reboot fixed it, but I would like to know what caused it.

A reboot did noting for me.

I contacted Support and they suggested I re-install Mavericks but I told them, I'd rather leave it as it's not a major issue for me.

Then after a search online I discovered if you type the following in terminal, it 'resets' the Launchpad and it resolved my issue:
rm ~/Library/Application\ Support/Dock/*.db; killall Dock

This happened to me as well. I suspect it was after doing a system clean up with CleanMyMac, which I notice you also have installed.

Its just started happening to me too, and I'm not using any clean-up software.

A health warning on the terminal command given above: it also removes any grouping of programs you may have done in the launchpad - and given how clumsy the apple grouping mechanism is, that can be a non-trivial drawback.
