when you launch 'launchpad' and all the applications that you have open are visible, how can you just get back to desktop, when you click on desktop the last app you were on opens?

For me - if I open LaunchPad - and close it - the last app I was in, reappears.

What happens on your machine?

Launchpad is not a list of all apps you have running, it's just a list of apps you have installed.

If i have no apps running and go into Launchpad, then exit back to a blank desktop. If I have an app running then i return to that app.

ok lets say I have a document that I saved onto desktop as I will need it shortly and I'm working away and then from launchpad I do not want to go to anything on that screen exempt desktop, when I click on the desktop I mimed go to the last place I was. but I want to go to desktop
