Hi I have spotted an app called "console" which is a green/black "warning" type logo. I opened it and saw thousands of code type messages. I am worries as I uninstalled mackeeper over a year ago, and think this may be connected? Any help or advice is appreciated.

It's a stock utility app from apple so you can see system and crash logs to help troubleshoot your system. No need to delete it.

Is this on a Mac or iPhone? You're in the iOS forum.

Thank you. I think the battery is draining quite quickly so I was trying to see if anything running in the background.

Use Activity Monitor for that, not Console.

Try the Energy pane. Make sure you choose "All processes".
