I just looking for some great alternative app like a LUNCHPAD CONTROL:

LAUNCHPAD CONTROL
http://chaosspace.de/launchpad-control/

This app is amazing, without it I have a messy on my launchpad.

but problem is that after some time, it split all pages together, or some icon missing and what only helps is to RESET database and make new launchpad.

This I have to do almost every day and it is really little bit annoying :)

So, can you recommend me another similar application which will be fully functional?

Thank you very much

I too LOVE what Launchpad-Control can do. I WANT to use Launchpad for quick-launching of my most common programs, but scrolling through pages is too time consuming.

Unfortunately, like the OP, I have trouble with the icons disappearing. Anyone have any other suggestions, or an idea how to restore my icons? (I tried resetting & reloading Launchpad-Control's database but my icons are still missing... I only see the text under the icons.)

UPDATE: I just found two others that may be worth trying...

Although I wonder if Mountain Lion will include any native options to manage Launchpad (I'm hoping!).

Tried Launchpad Cleaner...

This was a terrible app. It literally did not do anything to recommend it. At least launchpad control did affect what showed up WITHIN the groups. I wanted to have my MBP launchpad to be configured like my MP launchpad (I wipe my MBP often enough-more risk) and I thought this would be the way but other than opening, this app did nothing more than ask me to upgrade to pro to do anything.

Launchpad control has known incompatibilities with mountain lion and the developer has given up trying to fight Apple. Had I known what I know now, I would not have downloaded either. A+ just for trying to both developers but at least Launchpad Control did (within the limits of the ML incompatibilities) do what it claimed without pretending to be freeware.

I've been using Launchpad-Control v. 1.63 for a long time now, and have my LPs synced across my nMP, MBA, MBP, and Mac Mini. I really really like it.

However, I know it isn't Mavericks friendly, and actually it does not work with Yosemite at all.

So, time for something new.

Are there any alternatives that actually work?
