Funny that the yacht was designed by Phillippe Starck, and not Jony Ive or Marc Newson.

Also looks pretty small for a "superyacht".

Actually, that particular yacht was discussed in a thread on this very forum several years ago (not all that long after the death of Mr Jobs), and my view - which I wrote at the time - is that this is a strikingly ugly design.

And I will concede that the sheer ugliness of the vessel surprised me, as did reports that he had been closely involved with the design of the craft, for the late Mr Jobs did have the gift of good taste in many other areas of his life.

I think every other super yacht looks like a plastic steam iron. Venus is my favourite yacht, maybe the only yacht that I've seen that I like. Sure, it was designed by two people who I think have amazing taste, but with a design this unconventional you cannot pretend to like it just for that fact. I remember when it was first unveiled, just captivates me somehow. Laurene, if you ever want to sell it or maybe trade my iPhone, send me PM. Thanks.

I guess the designers knew what they were doing but at a glance there seems to be a lot of flat glassy surfaces, they look a bit scary to me. (One really big wave...) Also, I remember seeing a pic of the bridge once - it looked really open - lots of open space - very little to grab hold of and again lots of smooth surfaces - yikes! Whenever I've been on a boat - OK, admittedly not like that one, I've often felt like the ball in a pinball machine.
