Things have changed since my last update. For one, I'm now studying for the New York bar exam, instead of the California bar exam as I was planning.

Duke asked a lot of my questions for me, so I'll just quote him. :p :
congrats!

WHat did you focus on?

Was it much different than undergrad? What was your undergrad in?

Why NY?!?!

And for the sake of the tradition of this thread... **** law school! ;)

But how was it really? Can you say what exactly was terrible about it, and maybe what wasn't so bad? It would really help to have a heads-up on what to expect.

I had a whole reply typed out, and when I clicked Submit Reply, I was logged out, and had to log back in, and I lost it all. So **** it.

Not that it matters much, but my concentration was intellectual property.

Yeah, it's very different. I double-majored in history and philosophy.

Why NY?!?!

Because California sucks other than San Francisco, and there's no jobs there.

Like I said I had a whole reply typed up. I always tell myself to copy the whole thing before hitting submit, but I never do. Basically I was saying that law school is mostly bad psychologically. Grading is based on a curve and an arbitrarily subjective determination by the professors, not on your actual knowledge of the law. Also said a bunch of other stuff, but I couldn't be bothered.

So yeah.

Just to put some closure to this thread: I just got word today that I passed the New York bar exam.

And thereby it ends. Thank you all for the support and discussion in this thread. It has been an interesting rollercoaster ride, that's for sure.

Au revoir!
