Hallo folks,
My LCD panel is showing the following defect:

I contacted the local Apple repair specialist and after a one-week-long investigation they concluded that my screen has only one bad pixel and that this type of problem does not fall under Apple's replacement policy.

If you look at the image it is clear that an area that is much larger than a single pixel is affected.

Do you have any experience with such a defect? Any help will be appreciated.

Cheers,
Panos

Forget Apple specialists... go to the Apple Store and have them check it out.

Apple specialists have to justify repair costs and cover their own @$$es. A "Genius" at the Apple Store will be more likely to repair it for free or under AppleCare.

That would be nice, but the problem is that there is no Apple store in a 370 miles (600 km) radius.
