Using Ifixit guide to repair a water damaged 3G iphone with excellant step by step photos and text instructions I was successful in disassembling all the
major parts, also used a bowl of uncooked rice overnight and allowed to lay on a towel for 3days, one of the visiting boys pressed on the LCD board (without touch glass) and left darker impressions, I tried slightly cleaning with a soft clorth, but no help.
But I think I may have done a stupider move, I inserted an axacto tip between the edges of the black screen and the white base, but the impressions are still there.
So before I reassemble and wrestilng with thoes mini screws, and not to waste time, I like to know if this LCD board is damaged, can it be restored or will it work?

The LCD is damaged and you will have to get the manufacturer to replace it or buy a new one.
