If they "stretched" the screen you really would have black bars in every video you watched because that would be a really weird ratio without also making it a little wider.

thats creepy i had a case for awhile on my 3g then said screw it lol. it has scratches but i really like the way it looks so my iphone is bare ass naked. its a phone not a baby.

iPhone is slippery sometimes
If they stretched the screen though all the way to the edge of the "bars" it would be ULTRA wide screen... Probably something like 16:6 or 16:7... makes me think of the moto KRAZR... this is why the iPad isn't 16:9 IMO, think about holding that thing in portrait mode -- it would be way too skinny to hold as a tablet.
